The Double Exposure of Holly Limited Edition Vinegar Syndrome Blu-Ray [NEW] [SLIPCOVER]
When Lee, a high class New York lawyer, is dumped by the beautiful, yet cold, Holly, with whom he’d been having an affair, his bruised ego jumps at the chance to get back at her through blackmail. Lee hires a gangster pal, Nicastro, to bug Holly’s favorite no-tell-motel room, in the hope of catching her in the act - on tape - with her new younger lover, thus collecting evidence that could destroy her marriage. However, the plans immediately begin to go awry as Nicastro hires a two bit lecher, Archie, and his own heroin addicted girlfriend, Kim, to run the job. It’s not long before Lee is in a heap of trouble as sex, drugs, and even murder foil his plans.
Made by a team of “mainstream” filmmakers who sought to create a hard boiled, hardcore thriller that would stand a cut above the competition, Bob Gill’s THE DOUBLE EXPOSURE OF HOLLY achieved just that with its smart, complex script by character actor Ronan O’Casey (1984), and casting a host of some of New York’s finest sex film thespians, among them Terri Hall (THE STORY OF JOANNA), Jamie Gillis (THE OPENING OF MISTY BEETHOVEN), Bobby Astyr (CORRUPTION), Annie Sprinkle (DEEP INSIDE ANNIE SPRINKLE), while starring one of the most enigmatic actresses of mid 70s smut, Catharine Burgess (THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS). Featuring an impressive jazz score by Stan Free (MOONLIGHTING WIVES) and a suitably grim sensibility, Peekarama presents the Blu-ray debut of THE DOUBLE EXPOSURE OF HOLLY newly restored in 2K from its 35mm original negative.
